Description
Presented is an antique, Swedish silver soup or punch ladle made by I. Wahlstrom in 1840. This mid 19th century piece is huge and solid silver. The handle is done in a classic Kings or Shell and Thread pattern and it has never been monogrammed. There is a 2 latter stamp on the front of the handle RS, possibly as a monogram. The large bowl is deep and egg shaped. The back is marked with the Swedish 3 crown hallmark, I. Wahlstrom for the maker and K4 for the year 1840. This piece is in good overall condition, considering its old age. There is surface wear commensurate with age and use and some tiny dings to the bowl. Length: 14 3/4 inches. Weight: 231 grams.
